Monday nights, 6PM, at Awesome Inc., we meet up to expose ourselves to indie games. C’mon out and look at how small game designers are pushing the medium, or bring something we can play!
This week we played Voronoid OSC, and Papers Please.
Voronoid OSC
Voronoid is a multiplayer game utilizing Voronoi diagrams. Voronoid regions are defined as cells with seeds, and the game utilizes at the very least as a visual tool.
The game is combative and visually rather interesting. You can play it online at the developers website on Unity Web Player. The game was initially encountered by Tim at a Seattle Indie games event.
Papers Please
Papers, Please is a very basic indie game about stamping papers. The developer has stated that the game is not political, but it has elements that go into the banality of evil and other similar concerns.
As some reviewers have put it, the game gives you moral choices, but makes it very difficult to be good.
