RunJumpDev launched the locally-made arcade cabinet the Lexitron November 20, 2013 at Geeks Night Out. The cabinet, filled with games made by local developers, was well received.
The cabinet, known as the Lexitron, was constructed primarily through RunJumpDev, as well as in collaboration with professional game companies like Super Soul and Shobu Games, and other organizations like Awesome Inc and Collextion. The cabinet was constructed entirely in Lexington, and all six launch games were made by local, independent developers (from hobbyists to professionals).
Since the Geeks Night Out debut, the cabinet has been to PAX East in Boston, as well as across the state in several different game developers events like Lexington Comic and Toy Expo and Louisville Arcade Expo. The cabinet was featured in Game On in Danville, was set up at Awesome Inc for six months, and at the Lexington Public library as a part of an exhibition for Ready, Player One. The Lexitron continues to tour local businesses and organizations.
Please contact John Meister if you would like to have the Lexitron at your business or event.
