Monday nights, 6PM, at Awesome Inc., we meet up to expose ourselves to indie games. C’mon out and look at how small game designers are pushing the medium, or bring something we can play!

Today’s game included Super Avalanche, Escape Goat 2, I Saw My Soul and BroForce.

Super Avalanche 2

A sequel to a popular Flash game Super Avalanche, Super Avalanche 2 is an endless climber where you climb up a procedurally generated pile of blocks. (You are also a marshmallow) The game features power fights, boss fights, and random enemies to stop your way.

The game is simple, but it has a great deal of polish that makes it enjoyable and worth a look at. Currently on Steam Greenlight, the game is playable through a demo on the developers website.

Escape Goat 2

Escape Goat 2 is a platform puzzle game where you play as an escaping goat traveling through a maze of rooms with your occasional mice sidekick battling through confusing puzzles with a variety of mechanics.

The game has been featured in the PAX 10 before, and was an engaging romp through interesting puzzles. You can purchase the game on Steam.

I Saw My Soul

A Russian made (and in the Russian language) experimental oddity. The game is entirely in Russian, which can be a confusing experience but has fluid animation and an intricate design that seems to transcend the English language.

BroForce

A run and gun game about punching the bad guy in the face and facing all problems with explosions.

Do you have a favorite indie game? Do you think it says something about game design in general? Stop by and show us next week, Monday at 6PM at Awesome Inc.
