Let’s celebrate Labor Day (well, the Saturday before) with some friendly competition!
This is the Labor Day LAN, hosted by Lexington’s game development group RunJumpDev.If you enjoy gaming with other people, local multiplayer games or couch competitive games, this is the event for you.
There will be tournaments and door prizes at the LAN.
What do you need to bring?
The event is BYOC, meaning “Bring Your Own Computer.” We will have a space set up at the event for desktop (and laptop) computers.
Additionally we ask that you bring your Ethernet cable to assist in networking.
Will there be food?
We will be supplying dinner at the event, covered in the cost of admission.
What is security like?
There will be a hardware check-in and check-out and no hardware will enter or leave the event space without first clearing that checkpoint.
What games will be played?
Alongside some PC titles, we are planning on hosting a boardgame section as well as an area for console gaming. Listed below are some of the games that are being planned.
We are currently taking votes on the RJD Google Group for specific games that people are interested in. At this point, we are planning on the following titles being present:
PC
Wii U
Will there be other games outside of PC games?
Yes. There will be PC and console games (as listed above).
Will you be selling tickets at the door?
There are currently only 40 open seats for the Labor Day LAN. However, we will be selling tickets at the door — if they are available — for $20 a person. Parking for the event is free, and can be located on this map.
Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
